Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will unveil the ‘YSR Asara’ scheme on Friday, aimed at freeing lakhs of women caught in a vicious debt trap cycle after borrowing money for various needs. Under the scheme, outstanding loans of SHGs will be reimbursed. A sum of ₹6345.87 crore will be released to the benefit of 7,91,257 SHGs on that day.

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of YSR Asara Scheme i.e. apmepma.gov.in.

Payment Under YSR Asara Scheme
The loan amount in the bank to the savings societies by April 11, 2019, will be credited to the respective community savings account in four installments from this financial year through the Asara scheme. The chief minister released Rs. 6,792 crores towards the first instalment of the total due of Rs. 24,169 crores to banks of 87,74,674 women belonging to 8.7 lakh SHGs in a virtual meeting with all district collectors & some of the beneficiaries. The three more installments will be released once a year. The scheme is not applicable to such associations if any association is recognised as a Bank NPA by April 11, 2019.
