Latest Update 07/01/2020: UP government has started a big social security scheme for the farmers of the state. The name of this scheme has been named ‘Chief Minister Krishak Accident Welfare Scheme’. On Tuesday, the UP cabinet approved it. Under this scheme, if a farmer dies while doing farming, then the government will give him a compensation of 5 lakhs. Under this accidental insurance scheme, the state govt. will provide financial assistance to family of farmer’s who die or become handicapped while working in fields. The scheme will cover farmers and their family members in the age group of 18-70 years and will be implemented from 14th September last year. Talking about another ambitious scheme of government, Mr Sharma said that under Mukhyamantri Paryatan Samvardhan Yojana one tourist point will be developed with a fund of 50 lakh rupees in each and every assembly segment of the state.

Step to Submit UP Chief Minister Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Application Form
The farmers or their family members can write an application to District Collector. This application form must consists of all the detailed information about the incident happened to the farmers. The written application must be submitted to the Tehsil Office within the time frame specified below. After proper verification by authorities, the assistance amount would be transferred to farmers or their family members depending on the case.
Application will have to be done in Tehsil within 45 days
The condition has been laid in the application that in case of death or disability of the farmer in the accident, all the forms will have to be submitted to the Tehsil office within 45 days. The District Magistrate will have the right to waive the delay of one month, but after 75 days, the application will not be considered.
