In Uttar Pradesh, the state government is starting the work of buying wheat from the farmers of its state at the minimum support price from April. Wheat will be procured in Uttar Pradesh till May 15. The farmers of the state who want to sell their crops can register themselves by visiting the official website of the e-purchasing system of the Food and Logistics Department. Rabi season crop 2020-21 will start online registration for the purchase of wheat from April. You can register on this portal from 15th April.

Wheat purchased from 3,99,935 farmers

Due to the Corona period by the Uttar Pradesh government, the process of wheat procurement is going on in Uttar Pradesh. So far 20.50 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured. This purchase has been done from about 3,99,935 farmers at the Minimum Support Price. In Uttar Pradesh, the responsibility of making this procurement was entrusted to 11 agencies by the Uttar Pradesh government. Out of these 11 agencies, 7 agencies have operated purchase centres. About 3252 purchasing centers have been operated by the Uttar Pradesh Co-operative Union. From which about 9 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured. So far, 5612 purchase centers have been set up in Uttar Pradesh by the government.

 With this, 110 wheat procurement centers have been set up in 48 districts by the State Agricultural Produce Market Council. The minimum support price at these centers has been fixed at Rs 1975 per quintal. Due to which 46982 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured. Under this scheme, payment of Rs 92.78 crore has also been made to 8523 farmers on wheat purchase.

UP wheat procurement will start from April 2021

On 29 January 2021, instructions have been given by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to start wheat procurement. This wheat procurement will be started from April 1, 2021 . Under wheat procurement, farmers will not face any problem at any purchasing center. Full arrangements will be made for the safety of wheat in storage godowns and purchasing centers. This year the minimum support price of wheat has been increased by ₹ 50. Now the minimum support price of wheat has gone up to ₹ 1975 per quintal. A meeting was held by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh with the officials of the timetable and the proposed purchase policy regarding wheat procurement 2021- 2022 .

In this meeting, instructions were given by the Chief Minister that soon the facility of online slip would be provided to wheat farmers like sugarcane farmers. He also directed that all those purchasing agencies whose records are not correct will not be given work. Geo-tagging of all purchase centers and storage godowns will be done. So that farmers will get benefit .

Transparency will be ensured in wheat procurement

• Now you have to enter the user name and password of the purchase center in-charge and click on the login option.
• Now you have to click on the farmer search option.
• After this, you have to enter the farmer’s ID and click on the submit option.
• Now you have to click on the option of Self or Nominated Person under Aadhaar Authentication.
• Now you have to set Submit to Inside.
• After this you have to click on the button of Biometric Scan.
• In case of scan failure, the OTP page will open in front of you.
• Now you will receive an OTP on the mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
• You have to enter this OTP in the OTP box.

• Farmer Search – Complete details related to the farmer can be obtained by the user by entering the number of the farmer.
• Rejection Message – If the farmer’s purchase from any other procurement center is rejected then this rejection message will open.
• Farmer Details- After this the complete details of the farmer will open. If all the information is correct, the farmer will have to select himself or the nominated person.
• Farmer Biometric Verification- Biometric verification of farmer will be done after selecting himself or the nominated person. This verification will be done with the fingerprint of the farmer through the scanner.
• OTP Verification – If the biometric verification of the farmer fails more than three times, then OTP verification is done in this situation. To do OTP verification, an OTP is sent to the farmer’s Aadhaar linked mobile number, which has to be entered in the OTP box.
• Biometric authentication of the center in-charge – Biometric authentication of the center in-charge is done after the biometric verification of the farmer is done. Once this authentication is done successfully, the purchase entry form opens.
• Food Standards Form – Now a Food Standards Passport comes out in the open. If the item verification has been selected by the center in-charge in yes, then the purchase entry form opens, if it is done in no, then the rejection page comes open.
• Purchase Entry – Click on the option of Submit by filling all the required fields here by the purchase in-charge.
• Successful purchase – After this the purchase becomes successful after which the option to print a bill comes open.
• Bill Receipt – By clicking on the Bill Print option, the Bill Receipt gets printed.

Do’s
