The launch of UP Tablet Yojana has been announced on 19 August 2021 by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, during his address to the Vidhan Sabha . Smartphones and tablets will be provided to the youth of the state through this scheme . About 1 crore youth will be benefitted through this scheme. The first phase of tablet and smartphone distribution
On December 25, 2021, on the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday, 1 lakh youth will be provided free mobile and tablet by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This mobile and tablet will be provided under the UP Free Tablet Smartphone Scheme . The distribution of tablets and smartphones will be done through Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium. A large number of students from each district of the state will also participate in the program of distribution. This scheme was started with the aim of technologically upgrading the youth of the state. It was announced by the Chief Minister to give one crore free mobiles and tablets through this scheme .
In the first phase, through this scheme, 60000 mobiles and 40000 tablets will be distributed by the Chief Minister on 25 December 2021. In the first phase of this scheme, students of final year MBBS, MD, BTech, MTech, PhD, skill development etc. will be given preference.
2035 crores spent by the government for the purchase of tablets and smartphones
More than 38 lakh youth have been registered on Digi Shakti Portal and registration is still going on. The Uttar Pradesh government has placed orders for the supply of mobiles and tablets to Lava, Samsung and Acer companies. The first supplies will be provided by the companies on December 24. With an aim to make the procurement process completely fair and transparent, the largest ever order has been placed on the GeM portal. Under the first phase, an order worth Rs 2035 crore was issued by the Uttar Pradesh government for the purchase of mobiles and laptops. In which 10.5 lakh mobiles will be purchased at the rate of ₹ 10740 and 7 lakh 20 thousand tablets at the rate of ₹ 12606. About 18 lakh mobiles and tablets will be supplied by the companies soon.

DGshakti portal launched to provide benefits of the scheme
DG Shakti Portal has been launched by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to manage the UP Free Tablet Smartphone Scheme . Through this portal the data of the students will be fed by the universities. After which the benefit of the scheme will be provided to the students. In the first lot, a total of 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones will be provided under the scheme. Rs 4700 crore tender issued
So far, the data of about 27 lakh students has been uploaded on the portal. The process of uploading data of remaining students will also be completed soon. From time to time, information about the distribution of tablets will also be provided to the students through their mobile and email. A tender worth Rs 4700 crore has been issued by the government for the purchase of tablets and smartphones on the GeM portal. In this tender, many companies have filled tenders for smartphones and tablets, including companies like Wishtel, Samsung, Acer etc. Work orders are also likely to be issued by the first week of December. The benefit of the scheme will be delivered to 1 crore beneficiaries
Uttar Pradesh government has announced to give 1 crore free smartphones and tablets to the youth of the state. These tablets/smartphones will be provided to the students taking graduation, post graduation, polytechnic, medical education, paramedical and skill development mission training. Announcement to launch UP Free Tablet Smartphone Scheme
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji has decided to provide free tablet smartphone to the youth of the state. Tablets will be distributed to the principal of government schools
Some time back, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced to provide smartphones and tablets to the students pursuing graduation, post graduation and diploma courses. Now the Chief Minister has announced to provide tablets to the principals of 2204 government high schools and inter-colleges located in the state. ₹ 10000 will be provided to each school for the tablet. Two crore rupees will be spent by the government for this. School principals will be technically strong through these tablets. Apart from this, the analysis of learning outcomes and board results will be done through this tablet. Many types of work can be done at the school level through these tablets.
