Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan has been started by the Government of India to develop villages. The scheme was launched on 11 November 2014. Higher education will be provided to the people living in the village through Unnat Bharat Abhiyan . Under this scheme, priority will be given to those villages which are still backward. The scheme has been coordinated by IIT Delhi. Under this scheme, at least a group of villages will be formed and those villages will be connected with educational institutions and those villages will be helped financially and socially. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scheme 2nd Edition
HRD Ministry has launched the second edition of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan on 25th April 2018. Under this scheme students from 750 higher educational institutions across the country will adopt villages. College and university students will also be included under this scheme. A total of 748 organizations are working under this scheme. Out of which 143 institutions will participate in Phase-I and 605 institutions, out of which 313 technical institutions and 292 non-technical institutions will be functioning. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has directed all the higher educational institutions run by the Central and State Governments and all the institutions under this Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme to take the backward gram panchayats and villages into their experience and use their knowledge and expertise to reduce the gaps and gaps in the gram panchayats. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Yojana was started by Indian Institute of Technology Delhi to do rural development. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has been working in the field of rural development for a long time. A National Workshop was organized at IIT Delhi in September 2014. Under which it was decided to start the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan . This campaign was started in consultation with several organizations working for rural development.
Progress of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
On 20 November 2020, the Union Education Minister organized a meeting to know the progress of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan through video conferencing. So far, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan has covered a network of more than 26000 participating institutions with more than 14 thousand villages. It was informed in the meeting that 4650 village survey data and 475702 household level survey data Unnat Bharat Abhiyanavailable on the portal. Through Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, villages have been associated with all educational institutions. For which the Union Education Minister praised IIT Delhi. The Education Minister has asked to identify 3 to 5 issues in all the villages and the participating institutions have been asked to work on these. The Education Minister has also said that Unnat Bharat Abhiyan should play an important role in the implementation of the National Education Policy .
