Telangana Aasara Pension Scheme 2022

TS Aasara Pension For Beneficiaries Of 57 To 65 Years Of Age
As you all may be aware that the government of Telangana is providing TS Aasara pension to those people whose age are above 65 years. During the election campaign in 2018, the Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao promised to extend the benefit of this scheme to those people whose age is between 57 to 65 years. Applications are invited by the society of elimination of rural poverty under the department of rural development from all the eligible candidates. All those people who turn 57 years on the date of submitting the application can apply under this scheme. Eligible beneficiaries can apply at Meeseva centres in the prescribed format.
Submission Of Application Under TS Aasara (57 to 65 years of age)
The last day to submit the application is 31st August 2021. Beneficiaries are required to submit the birth certificate or class 10th memorandum along with the application. Other than that school leaving certificate which is recognized by the government, voter id card or any documents which are mentioned in the earlier orders issues for sanction of pension should be submitted along with the application. District collectors and GHMC officers will be responsible for collecting the applications at the centres of eseva and Meeseva. Beneficiaries are not required to pay any service charge because the government is going to reimburse it to eseva centre.

Benefits Of Telangana Aasara Pension
One of the main benefits of the Telangana Aasara Pension Scheme 2022 is the availability of financial funds which will be allocated to all of the beneficiaries of the scheme. Socio Economic Criteria Under TS Aasara Pension
Those persons who belong to those households that are fulfilling one or more of the following conditions that are listed below are not eligible for social security pension:-
- Owners of light or heavy automobiles (fore wheeler and big vehicles)
- Already getting pension from some other government scheme or getting freedom fighter pension
- Having large business enterprise
- Having children who are doctors, contractors, professionals and self employed.

- Women headed households who are having no able-bodied earning members

- Those households that are headed by widows or terminally ill persons/disabled persons/persons aged 65 years or more with no means of income
- Landless agricultural labourers
- Rural artisans/craftsman
- Slum dwellers
- Persons earning their livelihood on daily basis in the informal sector

Identification Of Eligible Persons For TS Aasara Pension
- The application will be received by gram panchayat secretary/village revenue officer in the rural area and bill collector in the urban area
- The above-mentioned officials are responsible for verifying the applications and certifying them
- The scrutinising procedure will be carried by designated mandal Parishad Development Officer/municipal commissioner/deputy/zonal commissioner and they will sanction them pension based on the guidelines given to them from time to time
- For each Panchayat mandal and municipality the data as per household survey, the census population figure and percentage for old age widow and handicapped will be kept in mind besides ensuring equity among various social categories like scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, backward class etc

Eligibility Criteria
There are different eligibility criteria that has finalized for the different group of beneficiaries which is available under the Telangana Aasara pension scheme for 2020:-
For Old Age-
- The age should be 65 years and above.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
- Only one pension in a family, preferably women is eligible.
- Landless agriculture laborers, rural artisans/craftsmen slum dwellers, persons earning their livelihood on daily basis in the informal sector like porters, coolies, rickshaw pullers, hand cart pullers, fruit/flower sellers, snake charmers, rag pickers, cobblers, destitute and other similar categories irrespective of rural or urban areas are also eligible.
- Homeless, houseless households residing in temporary informal establishments or huts especially in urban areas are eligible.
- Households headed by widows or terminally ill persons/disabled persons /persons aged 65 years or more with no assured means of subsistence or societal support are also eligible.
For Widow-
- The age of the widow must be above 18 years.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
For Weavers-
- The age of the weaver must be above 50 years.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
- Only one pension in a family can avail of the pension.
- By profession, a person should be in weaving, irrespective of rural or urban areas
For Toddy Tappers-
- The age of the applicant must be above 50 years.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups
- By profession, the person should be in Toddy Tapping, irrespective of rural or urban areas.
- For Toddy tapper pensions the verification should be confirmed whether the beneficiary is a registered member in the Co-Operative Society of Toddy Tappers.
For Disabled Person-
- A person of any age can apply for the scheme.
- The applicant must belong to primitive and Vulnerable Tribal Groups

Sanction Of Pension Amount And Issue Of Pension Card
- Assess the recommendation report and correlate it with the SKS survey data
- Identify the poorest of the poor among the verified list covering all social categories
- Special care will be taken so that no eligible beneficiary is left out
- After that the data will be entered in the Aasara software
- The data will also be submitted to the district collector
- After getting the final approval by the district collector the pension cards will be distributed to the relevant beneficiaries by affixing the photo of the beneficiary
- The gram panchayat is required to maintain register a and register b in which it will be specified the existing pensioners and those who are eligible but not have been considered for the pension.
Aadhaar Seeding Under TS Aasara Pension
The payments will be made biometrically subject to the following conditions:-
- Aadhar number is available for beneficiary they will be immediately seeded for enabling biometric authentication best payment through the Aadhaar enabled payment system
- Where the Aadhar number is not available then they shall secure one with the help of local administration
- For the payment either best fingerprint detection or error IRIS authentication will be used
- Those cases where patients are bedridden or upper extremities are affected badly than the pension will be disbursed by gram panchayat secretary or bill collector using his own biometrics
Release Of Amount For Disbursal Of Pension
The MPDO will forward the details of the selected beneficiary to SERP for the release of the amount to the districts for disbursement as follows:-
- The centralised acquittances along with the proceedings will generate in the software at the state level
- It will be placed in the web in order to seek approval on the proceedings by the district collector through the project director
- An approval will be taken from the district collector by the project director on physical file and upload the file in the aasara software
- After that fund transfer report will be generated by SERP
- The MPDOs / tahsildar will download the acquittances from the login provided to them and take print out in order to hand it over to the disbursing agencies
- After that the pension will be disbursed at gram Panchayat or disbursing point level by the customer service provider
- After that the signed acquittances will return to MPDO/Tehsildars
- If there is some change in pensioners status then it will be reported by the customer service provider, branch post master, gram panchayat, secretary every month.
Disbursal Of Pension
- The pensioner should have a bank account in which the amount of pension should be remitted
- Windows municipality is where ATM facility is available then the amount of pension will be limited in to bank account of the beneficiaries and they can withdraw it using their ATM cards
- In rural areas where the bank exist then the pension will be deposited in the local bank for the post office and shall be disbursed through biometric authentication
- Each pensioner should have registered in the biometric device
- The disbursement of pension shall do in public place as far as possible
