Taylor Swift shares instrumental versions of ‘Bejeweled’ and ‘Question…?’

The instrumental versions of the songs “Question…?” and “Bejeweled” are part of Taylor Swift’s ongoing drip-feed of supplemental “Midnights” content.

The songs are presently downloadable digitally on Swift’s website. It’s unclear if more songs from “Midnights” will receive similar releases in the future; they’re sold separately, but as of this writing, they’re the only two being listed in this format. Additionally, these singles can only be purchased until 12 a.m. ET, in keeping with the album cycle’s concept of time being limited (5am BST).

Breaking down all the Easter eggs in Taylor Swift’s ‘Bejeweled’ music video

The most recent music video by Taylor Swift for her song “Bejeweled” is a veritable goldmine of Easter eggs.

The “Anti-Hero” singer stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to announce that she would be releasing a glittering second music video for her song “Bejeweled” shortly after the release of her record-breaking album Midnights.

Swift wrote and directed the eye-catching video, which she described as “a little spin on the Cinderella story” and was made “especially for the people that like particular things like glitter and Easter eggs and lots of little cameos.” The final product contains a really “psychotic amount” of allusions, which even Swift found challenging to keep up with.

The Haim sisters pose behind Swift. Each has a note that explains why they want to win the talent show. Danielle wants the ring. Este wants the title. Alana wants 'the d---' and Taylor wants the castle.

Swift and the ladies have very different goals.

Lyrics

Baby love, I think I’ve been a little too kind
Didn’t notice you walking all over my peace of mind
In the shoes I gave you as a present
Puttin’ someone first only works when you’re in their top five
And by the way, I’m going out tonight

Best believe I’m still bejeweled when I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
And when I meet the band, they ask, “Do you have a man?”
I can still say, “I don’t remember”
Familiarity breeds contempt, don’t put me in the basement
When I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes, I polish up real, I polish up real nice (nice)

Baby boy, I think I’ve been too good of a girl (too good of a girl)
Did all the extra credit, then got graded on a curve
I think it’s time to teach some lessons
I made you my world, have you heard?
I can reclaim the land
And I miss you (I miss you), but I miss sparkling (ah, hey)

Best believe I’m still bejeweled when I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
And when I meet the band, they ask, “Do you have a man?”
I can still say, “I don’t remember”
Familiarity breeds contempt, don’t put me in the basement
When I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes, I polish up real, I polish up real nice (nice)

Sapphire tears on my face, sadness became my whole sky
But some guy said my aura’s moonstone just ’cause he was high
I went dancin’ all night and you can try to change my mind
But you might have to wait in line
What’s a girl gonna do? A diamond’s gotta shine

Best believe I’m still bejeweled when I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer (shimmer)
And when I meet the band, they ask, “Do you have a man?”
I can still say, “I don’t remember”
Familiarity breeds contempt, don’t put me in the basement
When I want the penthouse of your heart
Diamonds in my eyes, I polish up real (nice), I polish up real nice

I went dancin’ all night and you can try to change my mind
But you might have to wait in line
What’s a girl gonna do? What’s a girl gonna do? I polish up nice
Best believe I’m still bejeweled when I walk in the room
I can still make the whole place shimmer
