This coaching will be provided through Har Ghar Pathshala, a platform prepared by the Education Department. It will be mandatory for students from 9th to 12th to attend coaching on Saturdays and Sundays. The video will be prepared by the State Resource Group of the Education Department to provide this coaching. Apart from this, help will also be taken by the government from non-government organizations.

Launch of Golden Jubilee Apprenticeship Scheme

The Swarna Jayanti Anushishan Yojana has been launched by the government on 15 September 2021. Now students from class 9th to 12th studying in government schools of the state will be able to get free coaching for NEET and JEE. Through this scheme, it will be mandatory for students to attend coaching classes on Saturdays and Sundays. The detailed guideline for the implementation of this scheme has been issued by the Director Higher Education Department Dr. Amarjeet Sharma. Apart from this, instructions have also been provided to the Deputy Directors of Education of all the districts in this regard.

All the officers have been instructed by the Director Higher Education Department to monitor this scheme and take feedback from the schools. Apart from this, the study material of this scheme will be made available on the portal of Har Ghar Pathshala. This scheme was launched by the Governor on 5th September on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. About 2 lakh students will be able to take advantage of this scheme.

The link will be sent by the teachers on the mobile of the students, this link will be of YouTube. Through this link students will be able to get coaching. Under the Har Ghar Pathshala Abhiyan, the work of sending the link of the video to the teachers has been started. On Saturday, this link will be provided to the students through WhatsApp group. Apart from this, high quality maths and science material will be made available to the students of government schools. Every week 15 to 18 hours of classes and evening solutions will also be done. For the implementation of this scheme, a committee will also be constituted by the government at the district level. Principal of DIET, Deputy Director of Higher Education and Supervisor of Science Mathematics of schools have been included in this committee.

This committee will help in identification of meritorious students. The implementation of this scheme will be done in two phases. In the first phase, high quality maths and science material will be provided to the students through Har Ghar Pathshala and in the second phase there will be a selection test to identify 100 high performing students.

Swarna Jayanti Anushishan Yojana was announced by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur in his budget speech. In the first phase of this coaching, science and maths coaching will be provided. Apart from this, information related to the type of questions come in NEET, how is the paper of JEE, which books should be there for preparation, syllabus etc. will be given. After passing the 11th standard, when the children will enter the 12th class, their test will be taken. 10% of the students who qualify this test will be selected for final coaching. School teachers will also have a major role to play for the operation of this scheme.

The school teachers will have to answer the questions arising in the mind of the children after watching the video. Instructions have been given to all the teachers by the department that they should be completely updated about these subjects. A budget of Rs 5 crore has been set by the government for the operation of this scheme.
