Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana 2022

Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana has been started by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Tirath Singh Rawat , for those children of the state whose parents or guardians have died due to corona virus infection. Through this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 3000 per month will be provided to all such children in the form of maintenance allowance. This financial assistance will be provided to the children till the age of 21 years. So that he can feed himself and become self-reliant. This financial assistance will be sent to the account of all eligible children through direct benefit transfer. To get the benefit of this scheme, it is mandatory for the child to have a bank account.

Chief Minister Vatsalya Yojana launched

Children orphaned due to Kovid-19 in the state will be provided the benefit of Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana . The benefit of this scheme will be transferred directly into the account of the beneficiaries through DBT. This scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on 2nd August 2021. There are many children of the state who have become orphans and there are many children who have lost one of their parents. 2311 such children have been identified by the department. But at present only 27% of the children are being provided the benefit of this scheme. Verification will be done by the District Magistrate to pass on the benefits of this scheme to the children.

Till now the verification process of total 640 children has been completed and the process of verification of rest of the children is still going on. The account of all these children has also been opened. As soon as the verification process of other children is completed, similarly other children who have been identified will start getting benefits.

The scope of the scheme will be extended

The government has also decided to expand the scope of the scheme. Now the benefit of Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana will be provided even if one of the parents or both dies due to diseases other than Kovid-19 . This decision has been taken as some persons had died before conducting the COVID test. In this situation, such children who have been orphaned during the corona period will also be provided the benefit of this scheme. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the affected children from birth to 21 years.

A total of 2347 children have been selected from March 2020 to March 2021. All these children will be linked to this scheme. 561 children have been selected in Dehradun while 249 in Tehri Garhwal, 242 in Udham Singh Nagar, 230 in Haridwar, 213 in Pauri Gadwal, 185 in Nainital, 120 in Uttarkashi. Many children have also been selected in other districts, whose verification process is still going on.

Mandate of Chief Minister Vatsalya Yojana issued

As you all know , through Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana , it has been started to provide social and financial assistance to the children orphaned due to corona virus infection. The proposal of this scheme has been passed in the cabinet on 9 June 2021. After which the mandate of this scheme has been issued by the Department of Women’s Empowerment and Child Development on June 13, 2021. Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana 2022 will be implemented from 1st March 2020 to 31st March 2022. In which children orphaned after March 2020 due to corona virus infection and other diseases will be provided the benefit of this scheme till the age of 21 years.

The benefit of this scheme will also be provided to those children whose parents or guardian have died due to corona virus infection. Apart from this, care, rehabilitation, protection of movable immovable property etc. will also be provided through this scheme. This scheme has also been approved by Rajpal. Soon, separate guidelines will be issued for the implementation of this scheme.

Implementation of Chief Minister Vatsalya Yojana

• It will be the responsibility of the nodal officer to select all those children who are eligible for Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana.
• The nodal officers have to ensure that the benefit of this scheme is being provided to each beneficiary child.
• In the area, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Panchayat Samiti, Gram Panchayat Level, Child Protection, Anganwadi Workers, Education Citadel, etc. will cooperate with the Nodal Officer in selecting the children in their area.
• A list of all eligible children will be prepared.

Identification of about 200 beneficiaries in district Dehradun

The benefit of this scheme is provided to all the children who have lost their parents due to corona virus infection. A database of all such children is being prepared in district Dehradun. So that the benefit of this scheme can be provided to all these children. Around 200 children have been identified so far in the entire district. This information has been provided by District Probation Officer Meena Bisht. This database is being obtained with the help of officers like Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Child Development Project Officer and Anganwadi workers. All these officers are collecting the information of all the eligible beneficiaries in their respective areas. Apart from this, information of the beneficiary children is also being provided through various e-mails and calls.
