MP Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana Online Registration Process

A provision has been made in the Madhya Pradesh government’s budget (MP Budget 2021-22) to once again launch the CM Teerth Darshan Scheme. This scheme to make senior citizens of the state travel by pilgrimage to the pilgrimage sites of the country had become very popular. The plan also included the convenience of carrying an attendant with the elderly. Along with the rail journey, all arrangements for going to the pilgrimage site, eating and drinking are made by the state government itself. Thousands of people have visited the shrine even before this plan.

A senior citizen desirous to avail benefit of Teerth-Darshan Yojna should fill up an application in prescribed proforma in two copies and submit the same at nearest tahsil or sub-tahsil before the prescribed time-limit. Photo and address proof should be affixed to the application. Ration card, Driving license, electricity bill, voters’ identity card or any other evidence recognized by the State Government will be accepted as address proof.

Person of pilgrimage EligibilityThe traveler must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.Do not be an income taxpayer.The age of the applicant should be 60 years or more.In the case of women, he has completed 2 years’ leave i.e. 58 years of age.Disabled citizens whose disability is more than 60 percent, do not have an age restrictions.If the spouse wants to travel together, then the spouse can go on the journey even if he or she is writing to one of the spouses, even if he/she is under 60 years of age.Under this scheme, a person will be given the benefit of a pilgrimage to a designated pilgrimage site once in his lifetime.A group can be applied for a pilgrimage, the head of the group will be the main applicant, but such a group will not be more than 25 persons.According to the latest provision, after the completion of the five-year period previously traveled, they will be eligible for travel again, as well as provision has been made for the pilgrimage near the present pilgrimage sites.Be physically and mentally competent to travel, and do not suffer from any infectious diseases like TB, conjunctiva, cardiac, respiratory disease, coronary insufficiency, coronary thrombosis, mental illness, infection, leprosy etc.Care eligibilitySingle pilgrims over 65 years of age, husband and wife above 65 years and persons with disabilities of more than 60 percent are eligible to be taken caretakers.A group of 3 to 5 persons will be eligible for an assistant (caretaker) on traveling as a group / batch.

On the instructions of Hon’ble Chief Minister, in the year 2017 – 2018, pilgrimage sites of Gangasagar, Kamakhya Devi, Girnarji, Patna Sahib and Madhya Pradesh – Ujjain, Mehar, Shri Ramraja Mandir Orchha, Chitrakoot, and Omkareshwar / Maheshwar and Moodwara have also been included in the pilgrimage.Now, to provide the benefit of pilgrimage again to the pilgrims who have completed 5 years of the pilgrimage visit and along with the present pilgrimage sites, nearby pilgrimage sites like Rameswaram – Madurai, Tirupati – Sri Kalhasti, Dwarka – Somnath, Puri – Gangasagar, Provision has been made for pilgrimage to Haridwar – Rishikesh, Amritsar – Vaishnodevi and Kashi – Gaya. From 1 April 2018, the activities of Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana and Karyavahiya are being conducted on the portal.
