Rules and guidelines of Chief Minister Solar Pump Scheme
- The applicant can apply only for his own land under the Chief Minister Solar Pump Scheme.
- It is mandatory for the applicant to verify the following information.
- Solar pumps will be used only for irrigation.
- This pump will not be sold or transferred.
- To get the benefit of this scheme, consent has to be obtained for installation of solar pump from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.
- Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited will have to deposit the application amount and balance amount within the prescribed time limit.
- The solar pump will be used for irrigation and the maintenance of this pump will be the responsibility of the applicant.
- Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited will not be responsible for any damage or theft of solar pump after installation.
- It will be the responsibility of the applicant to clean the solar pump from time to time.
- If any equipment of the solar pump is tampered with, then it will also be the responsibility of the applicant.
- Any type of electric pump should not be operated on the khasra given by the applicant and if the electric pump is already installed on the khasra then in this situation the applicant will have to cancel the connection of the electric pump.
- After applying, if the applicant’s mobile number changes, then this information will have to be provided by the applicant to the Madhya Pradesh Energy Development Corporation.
- It will be the responsibility of the applicant to provide shade free space for installation of solar pump.
- This scheme will be operated in each district of the state according to the district wise target.
- It is mandatory to provide an amount of ₹ 5000 in favor of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, Bhopal through online medium along with the prescribed application form by the applicant. If this amount is not provided, the application will be rejected.
- In case the applicant is not selected, the amount of ₹ 5000 will be refunded to the applicant without any interest.
- If more applications are received than the prescribed target, then all the applications received in this situation will be selected through the prescribed process and the beneficiary farmers will be selected.
- As soon as the information of selection is provided to the beneficiary farmer by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, in this situation the farmer will have to provide the remaining amount through online medium to Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, Bhopal as soon as possible.
- After receiving the balance amount, the solar pump installation work will be completed in about 120 days.
- In certain circumstances, the time limit of 120 days can be extended.
- Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam will not be responsible for delay in installation of solar pump.
- After the installation of the solar pump, the pump will be provided to the beneficiary farmer.
- If required, the beneficiary farmer will have to provide assistance in transportation and installation from the main road to the site.
- A board will be installed on the solar pump which will have information related to the solar pump.
- If there is any kind of breakage, theft etc., then the beneficiary farmer will have to file an FIR within 3 days and also inform the establishment unit and the district office.
- After the installation of the pump by the beneficiaries, it is necessary to get the telephone number of their company headquarters, service center and district level representative from the unit doing the installation.

First Step
