Uttar Pradesh Shramik Maintenance Scheme
As you all know, it is difficult for all the workers to maintain themselves in the situation of lockdown. Therefore, the Uttar Pradesh Shramik Bharan Poshan Yojana has been started by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath. Through this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 1000 will be provided to the workers of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, help will also be provided to the workers of Uttar Pradesh through fertilizer money. Every registered laborer, boatman, rickshaw and trolley driver, handcart, khomcha, street vendors, palledar, confectioner, daily wage laborers etc. can apply through Uttar Pradesh Shramik Maintenance Scheme.
- This amount will be sent directly to the beneficiary’s account through Direct Benefit Transfer. Apart from this, the government has also announced to provide free food grains to Antyodaya and eligible household card holders.

Amount transferred to the account of 1.5 crore workers
On January 3, 2022, by the Uttar Pradesh government, one and a half crore unorganized sector workers of the state will be provided maintenance allowance under the first phase of the scheme. This allowance will be of ₹ 1000. An amount of ₹ 1000 will be transferred to the account of each worker. Keeping in mind the possibility of third wave of corona virus by the Uttar Pradesh government, it has been decided to give maintenance allowance to the workers of the unorganized sector. An amount of ₹ 2000 is provided under this scheme. This amount is provided in 2 installments of ₹ 1000.
At present, the total number of registered workers is 5 crore 90 lakh 8 thousand 745. Out of which the number of unorganized workers is 38160725 and the total number of registered workers under BOCW board is 12748020. In the first phase, the amount of allowance will be transferred to the account of 1.5 crore workers. The benefit of this scheme will be provided only to the workers of the unorganized sector. Apart from this, only those workers will be able to get the benefit of this scheme, who have registered with the Social Security Board by 31 December 2021.

Allowance will be provided to workers in the unorganized sector
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to give a maintenance allowance of ₹ 2000 to all the registered workers of the unorganized sector . This allowance will be provided in two installments of ₹ 1000-: ₹ 1000. In this regard, the Government of India has also been issued by the Labor Department. All those workers who will be registered with the Uttar Pradesh Unorganized Workers Social Security Board by December 31, will be provided this amount. Preparations are being made to pay the first installment of the allowance in January. This installment will be provided through the Uttar Pradesh Unorganized Workers Social Security Board. The announcement of giving this allowance was made during the second supplementary budget of the current financial year presented by the government in the legislature during the winter session. For which an amount of Rs 4000 crore has been arranged by the government.
2.5 crore workers have been registered so far
So far 2.5 crore workers have been registered in the Uttar Pradesh Unorganized Workers Social Security Board. The amount of allowance will be distributed directly in the account of the workers. Apart from this, all the beneficiary workers will have to get their accounts linked with Aadhaar. All those citizens who are being provided maintenance allowance through Kisan Samman Nidhi or any other means will not be provided any amount. In view of the possibility of third wave of corona infection by the government, instructions have also been given to complete the necessary action for distribution of maintenance allowance at the earliest.
The benefit of the scheme was given to 23 lakh workers
This scheme was started to provide financial assistance to the workers of Uttar Pradesh. On June 9, 2021, an amount of Rs 230 crore has been transferred to the account of 23 lakh workers under this scheme by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath. This amount has been transferred through online mode. On this occasion, the contribution of workers in the fight against Corona has been appreciated by the Chief Minister and it has also been assured that in the coming times, the government will work with commitment to protect the interest of farmers, workers, youth, workers etc. .
Through Uttar Pradesh Majdur Bhatta Yojana , an amount of ₹ 1000 has been provided to more than 23 lakh construction workers in their account. On this occasion, a portal for registration of workers in the unorganized sector has also been started by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Benefit of Labor Allowance Scheme
- Under this scheme, financial assistance of 1000 rupees will be provided by the UP government to the poor daily wage laborers and construction workers (rickshaw walas, hawkers, street vendors, hawkers, construction workers) of the state.

Eligibility of Uttar Pradesh Majdur Bhatta Yojana
- Workers registered in the Labor Department, Urban Development and Gram Sabhas will get the benefit of this scheme.
- Applicant should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

How to apply for Mazdoor Allowance Scheme?
- To apply under this scheme, the people of the state will have to apply by going to the municipal corporation, to register the people of the state under this scheme, the said form has been issued by the municipal corporation, municipality, municipal body, in the said form such Individuals will be filled in. - To feed the information of poor people online, the District Magistrate will nominate an officer of Additional District level as the nodal officer at the district level and an officer at the tehsil level as the nodal officer.
- The information form will be filled by the Municipal Commissioner from the Municipal Corporation level and the officer at the district level regarding the daily living of the people in the local body area.
- For the category mentioned in the above paragraph-2, the list of registered/verified track shopkeepers/vendors available in the urban local bodies, rickshaw puller/ace, tonga driver, registered list available in the urban local bodies can be used.
- For daily wage laborers, information can be collected by contacting the persons who gather at the labor stations. Apart from this, the desired information can also be obtained by contacting the registered organizations of other people living in daily life.
- In order to upload suitable missing information, the director, local body will soon issue the online portal and the user ID and password will be made available to the district magistrates of all the districts on the online portal soon.
