About Common Entrance Test Cell – The Government of Karnataka established a common entrance test cell in the year 1994. Instructions regarding PGCET Seat Allotment Process – The details furnished by the candidates in the PG CET form are final for admission to particular courses for the upcoming session. Before claiming eligibility for Govt seats, candidates must make sure that they satisfy all eligibility clauses. The candidates who do not satisfy eligibility clauses will not eligible for admission to the particular seat.

Karnataka PGCET Counselling Documents Required

Candidates must also keep their relevant documents to take participate in the written exams. Documents required –

  • SSLC/10th standards marks card
  • 2nd PUC/12th standard marks card
  • QE marks card of the candidates
  • Candidate’s study certificate
  • If claiming reservation benefits – Caste/Caste income certificate issued by Tehsildar – for SC/ST in Form D, Category 1 in form E and 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B in form F
  • And other essential documents and information.

The objective of Karnataka PGCET 2022 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the merit cum eligibility for admission of Karnataka and Non-Karnataka students to first-year/semester/full or part-time M.Tech, MBA, MCA, ME courses in various colleges of Karnataka state.

Exam overview – Total of 100 marks questions were asked in Common Entrance Test 2022.

MBA & MCA – PGCET 2022 were held in one session for MBA/MCA, conducted for 100 marks with 150 minutes. Each question was paper will be a Multiple Choice Question (objective). Each question were carry 1 mark.

M.Tech Total number of Questions – 75 Multiple Choice Questions. Total marks – 100 marks. 50 questions 1 mark each (50 marks) and 25 questions – 2 marks each (50 marks). Exam Patterns were slightly different for specific courses.

Final words – Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) Common Entrance Test released exam results on 10th December 2022. The seat allotment and counselling process will start from 15 December 2022 for MBA and as per the prescribed timetable for other courses. KEA is conducting an online seat allotment by obtaining the options from CET rank holders for admission to MBA/MCA/ME/M.Tech/M.Arch. Seats will be allotted based on the merit and priority of options entered by the candidates based on the seat matrix issued by the State Government of Karnataka.
