Jharkhand Chief Minister Shramik Rozgar Yojana is going to be started by the Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren ji to provide employment to the poor people of urban areas. Under this scheme, employment opportunities will be provided by the state government to the migrant laborers who have returned to Jharkhand in lock down due to corona virus from different parts of the country. This is a 100 days job guarantee scheme to provide employment to urban unskilled workers like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). Chief Minister Shramik Employment Scheme launched
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has started Mukhyamantri Shramik Rozgar Yojana on 15th August, under which all the unemployed people living in urban areas have been promised employment guarantee for 100 days in a year like the workers of rural areas. . Not only this, a provision has been made to give unemployment allowance in case of non-availability of work within 15 days. The state government has also launched a portal to apply online for Mukhyamantri Shramik Yojana job card. Interested beneficiaries of the state can apply online under this scheme. About 5 lakh families in the state will be benefited under this scheme.
35000 job cards issued
Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Shramik Rozgar Yojana has been launched by the Government of Jharkhand for the unskilled workers of urban areas . Through this scheme 2.42 lakh working days have been created and 35000 job cards have been provided to the workers. This scheme has been started to provide livelihood security to the workers. All those workers who are not able to get employment due to the Kovid-19 epidemic will be provided employment through this scheme.
The target of this scheme is to benefit about 31% of the urban population. All those citizens who live below the poverty line are eligible to get the benefit of this scheme. In the last 1 year more than 242339 working days have been generated and more than 35007 job cards have been issued. Unemployment allowance will be provided if there is no employment
Jharkhand Chief Minister Shramik Rozgar Yojana will prove to be helpful in removing unemployment in the state. Through this scheme, every beneficiary will be provided with clean drinking water, first aid and child care facilities at the workplace. More man days will be created in the coming time through this scheme. Because recently various new schemes have been started by the state government. Through all these projects, works like infrastructure development, road construction, tree plantation work, park beautification and cleanliness drive will be done. For which workers will be required.
Work will be provided to the workers within 15 days of registration. If not, then unemployment allowance will be provided to them. In case employment is not received within 1 month of the issue of Job Card, then in this case the beneficiary is eligible to receive one-fourth of the minimum daily wage as allowance in the second month. The unemployment allowance becomes 50% of the minimum daily wage in the third month and 100% thereafter.

75% target achieved
14th August 2021 was the first anniversary of Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Shramik Rozgar Yojana. This anniversary was celebrated at the council office in Godda district of Jharkhand. City Council President Jitendra Kumar was present in this anniversary. Job cards were distributed by the city council to about a dozen people on the occasion. Through this scheme, employment will be provided to all those citizens whose employment was lost due to the lockdown. This information was provided by the city council itself. Information was also shared by him that from the office bearers of the council to the personnel, an important role has been played in fulfilling the target.
If there is any worker in the district who does not get work, then wages will be provided to that worker by the city council. Godda district had received the target of 8432 days wages from the state. Out of which more than 75% of the target has been achieved. Through which a total of 103 workers have been provided work.
26243 job cards provided in the last 1 year
Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Shramik Rozgar Yojana was launched by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Hemant Soren . Under this scheme, employment will be provided to the unskilled laborers of the state like MNREGA. This scheme was launched on 14th August 2020. In which 50 municipalities were included. Till now 33462 applications have been received through this scheme. Out of which 232246 man days have been created. Apart from this, 26243 job cards have been provided to the workers by the state government. This scheme was started keeping in mind the Coronavirus lockdown. Through this scheme, the workers of the state will be able to get 100 days employment guarantee. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the worker only when the worker is not getting the benefit of MNREGA scheme.

If the worker is not given work within 15 days, then there is also a provision to give unemployment allowance to the worker under the Jharkhand Chief Minister Shramik Rozgar Yojana. To get the benefit of this scheme, the workers have to get their job card made. A portal has also been launched by the government to get this job card. To get the benefit of this scheme, it will be mandatory for you to provide Aadhar Card, Identity Card, Residence Proof, Passport Size Photograph and Mobile Number. To get the benefit of this scheme, workers can apply through both offline and online means. To apply offline, the worker will have to contact his nearest municipal office. Employment will be provided by creating a new work scheme
Jharkhand Chief Minister Shramik Rozgar Yojana has been started by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Hemant Soren . Through this scheme, employment opportunities will be provided to the urban poor citizens of the state. Under this scheme, the unskilled laborers of the state are also guaranteed to be provided jobs for at least 100 days. On March 19, 2021, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deepak Sahai, executive officer of Mango Municipal Corporation. In this meeting, it has been considered to allot work to various job card holders and to create a new work scheme. It has been told by Deepak Sahay ji that after creating the new work scheme, all the job card holders will be allotted work following the rules.
Jobs are being given to the job card holders by the building construction department, building division etc. All government departments have also been instructed to do correspondence on this occasion. This instruction has been given to the city manager. These government departments include Electricity Department, Forest Department, Drinking Water Department, Sanitation Department etc.

- Applicant should be a permanent resident of Jharkhand. He should be living in urban areas from 1st April 2015.
- Under Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Shramik Rojgar Yojana , the applicant’s age should be 18 years and above.
- Applicant should not have MNREGA card in rural areas.
- Daily wage workers, staying in government shelter, for the last three years will be eligible for the new scheme.
