Haryana Khel Nursery Yojana 2022

Haryana Khel Nursery Scheme has been launched by the Haryana Government . Through this scheme, sports nurseries will be established in government and private educational institutions and sports institutions across the state so that the infrastructure available in the institutions can be used. Sports will be promoted through Haryana Khel Nursery Scheme and players will be prepared at the grassroots level. Through these sports nurseries, coaching will be provided through coaches for the sports included in the Olympic, Asian and Commonwealth Games.

Under this scheme, applications have been invited by the government from all educational and sports institutions to establish a sports nursery. The last date to apply is 20 January 2022. Under this scheme, all the institutions interested in opening a sports nursery in their institution will have to submit their application to the concerned District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer.

Objective of Haryana Sports Nursery Scheme

The main objective of Haryana Khel Nursery Yojana 2022 is to popularize sports at the grassroots level by using sports infrastructure and facilities in the institutions. Through this scheme, sports nurseries will be established in the institutions. Through which coaching will be provided to the players in different types of sports. This scheme will encourage the youth of the state to participate in sports because through the Haryana Khel Nursery Scheme, preparations will be made for the games to be played in Olympic, Common Wealth and Asian Games. Apart from this , scholarship will also be provided to the students getting training through these nurseries. Those coaches who will give coaching to the students will also be given honorarium.

Terms and Conditions of Haryana Sports Nursery Scheme

• High School and Senior Secondary Schools have also been included under Haryana Sports Nursery Scheme.
• Not more than two nursery games shall be allotted in each school.
• The school should have a playground/court/and other sports facilities.
• Schools will have to conduct sports and physical fitness test/sports test for students in the age group of 8 to 19 years under the supervision of District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer.
• Sports Nursery can be opened in the sports disciplines played in the entire tournament of Olympic Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, National Games etc.
• In case of any violation by the Sports Department, the scholarship can be withdrawn.
• Nursery will be inspected and monitored regularly by DSYAO.
• It will also be ensured by DSYAO that the nursery is being run as per the terms and conditions and funds are being spent as per the plan.
• Players have to keep themselves away from drugs and anti-social activities.
• The students have to attend the coaching level in sports nursery for at least 22 days in a month to get the scholarship amount.
• Sports kits will be provided to all trainees.
• Regular attendance of players and coaches will be recorded by the school.
• 25 students will be selected on the basis of examination.
• Apart from this, 25 students will be selected and placed in the waiting list.
• If any student leaves nursery for any reason, the vacancy will be filled by waiting list.
• If at any time the number of students falls below 20 the nursery will be closed.

Scholarship/Diet Money provided under Khel Nursery Scheme

Scholarship will be provided by the Haryana government to all the trainees every month. This scholarship amount will be disbursed by DSYAO in their bank every month. To get the scholarship, the student has to submit his/her name, father’s name, date of birth, aadhaar number, mobile number and attested copy of the attendance register. The scholarship will be awarded as follows:-

• For students of 8 to 14 years – Rs 1500 per month
• For students of 15 to 19 years – Rs 2000 per month

Honorarium to be provided to the coach through Haryana Sports Nursery Scheme

Honorarium will be provided to the coach under Haryana Khel Nursery Scheme. The amount of honorarium will be disbursed directly into the coach’s account. The amount of honorarium will be provided as follows.

• Coaches who have done Coaching Diploma from NIS Patiala or Institute recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports – Rs 25000
• Coaches who have done MPEd or DPEd or MA (Physical Education) or certificate course in Cochin by NIS (Coach should be National Player of the game) – Rs 2000

Selection of coach and reimbursement of expenditure under Haryana Sports Nursery Scheme

• The coach will be selected by the school.
• The qualification of the selected coach will be checked by the school from the concerned DSYAO.
• The responsibility of the DSYAO will be to ensure that only qualified coaches are appointed by the school as per the eligibility as per the terms and conditions.
• The school will be reimbursed ₹ 100000 per year for the expenditure on sports equipment and consumables.
• The procurement will be supervised by the Deputy Commissioner or his representative.
• The expenditure on sports equipment/consumables in the games approved by the school will be paid by DSYAO to the bank account of the school.
• This payment will be made after physical verification and verification of vouchers.
• After physical verification and checking of vouchers, an application will have to be submitted by the school in this regard, after which payment will be made.
