Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board had started a demand survey in June 2019 in the capital to prepare the list of Delhi Chief Minister Jhuggi Jhopri Awas Yojana . The Delhi government is going to allot flats to the citizens who come under the Delhi Chief Minister Jhuggi Jhopri Awas Yojana . These flats will be allotted to them at very low cost. Citizens living in the slums of the general category will get a flat for Rs.1 lakh 42 thousand. Citizens of Scheduled Castes living in slums will be provided flats by the government for Rs 31000. The Delhi government will also bear the other expenses coming in the flat.
- Under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, Rs 112000 will be received from a person for giving plots in lieu of slums to the general category citizens living in slums and Rs 30000 will be taken for maintenance.
- Only ₹ 1000 will be taken from the citizens living in the slum of the Scheduled Castes and ₹ 30000 will be taken for maintenance. The SC will have to pay only ₹ 31000 for a flat like this.
- This flat will be in 32.5 square meters. This flat will have 2 rooms, 1 lobby, 1 hall, 1 kitchen and toilet. About 35000 flats have been built in Delhi. Out of which 18000 flats have been built by Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board and 17000 flats have been built by Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation.
- Out of these flats, 12000 flats have been allotted. There are about 675 slum clusters in Delhi. There are 3.5 lakh slums in these clusters. 20 lakh people live in these slums.

Under this scheme, the people who have been given certificates, this certificate will ensure that the slums of those people will not be demolished or occupied by any government official. Only those people of Delhi State who will be included in this Jhuggie Jhopdi Yojana List 2021 will be given pucca houses. Till the people living in slums are not given pucca houses, their slums and huts will not be demolished.
