Supreme Court of India is going to take a decision on the plea that is filed by the petitioners for the cancellation of 12th class exams. The hearing was conducted on 28th May 2021 and then the court was adjourned till 31st May 2021. Court asked CBSE and CISCE to present their case as well and told the petitioner to be optimistic. Now the next hearing date and time are 31 May 2021 at 11 AM.

SC allowed the petitioner side to serve an advance copy to the ICSE, CBSE and Center. As the court has not given any decision, the hope for the cancellation of CBSE 12th class exams is still remains alive. It has been a big question whether the 12th CBSE exams should be conducted or not. The parents and students don’t want the exams amid Corona Crisis and also the time is being wasted.
Even the medical experts do not want to gather the students for exams but Board is determined to conduct the exams. This is why a PIL is filed in the court against the commencement of CBSE 12th class exams.
The PIL has filed weeks ago but the hearing was not conducted because the CJI was not available. After continued requests from the senior lawyers, CJI set up benches for the hearing. The application is now being considered under emergency.

Students around the nation are looking for the CBSE class 12 Supreme Court decision but it not decided yet. The board is going to out its side of the case on 31st May along with the petitioners. It is up to the Supreme Court judges bench whether they will cancel the exams or not.
Not to break hopes but we should remember the Supreme Court decision for 12th class exams in the year 2020. In 2020, the Supreme court did not order the cancellation but urged the board to reconsider its decision. But, This year, not a single exam was conducted so the case may be different. Whatever the decision be, it will be out on 31st May 2021.
Justice AM Khanwilkar is leading the bench to hear the case filed by Petitioners for the cancellation of the 12th class examination. We also hope that court cancels the 12th class exams and save students from risking their life amid Covid-19.
