Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has initiated an Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHCs) for urban migrants/poor as a sub-scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The scheme was announced by the Hon’ble Finance Minister on 14 May, 2020. This scheme seeks to fulfill the vision of ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat.

Step 1- The Private & Public Entities, Visit the Official Website of Affordable Rental Housing Complexes Scheme i.e. arhc.mohua.gov.in.
Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Online Registration option in the menu bar of the website.
Step 3- The application Form page will be displayed on the screen.

The scheme under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban has been taken up to provide dignified and affordable living spaces to varied groups of urban migrants and poor including industrial & construction workers, migrants working with market associations, educational and health institutions, hospitality sector, long term tourists or visitors and students.The ARHC scheme will be implemented through two models:Utilizing existing Government funded vacant houses to convert into ARHCs through Public-Private Partnership or by Public AgenciesConstruction, Operation and Maintenance of ARHCs by Public/ Private Entities on their own vacant landThe government also announced the extension of the deadline for the affordable housing Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) till March 2021. |
