Abhaya Hastham Pensionhas been started by the Telangana government to provide security to the elderly women of the society by helping them. The pension scheme envisages providing income security to the SHG women who are 60 years and above. It envisaged that a member would contribute Re1 per day and the State government would also contribute the same amount in the name of the beneficiary. The scheme ensured a minimum pension of Rs.500 per month to every woman member.

| YSR Abhaya Hastham Telangana 2022: Online Application Form PDF Download – The government of Andhra Pradesh introduced Velugu Pension and Insurance Scheme for the (Rural and Urban) SHG women in November 2009 to provide income security in their old age. The aim was to provide security to all enrolled SHG women with dignity in their old age.This scheme works in the principle of contribution amount Rs. 365 per annum by the SHG woman and Government co-contribution amount Rs. 365 per annum into her pension amount. The interest earned from corpus generated for each member till the completion of 60 years of her age is used for giving monthly pension from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2200 based on the age of the member. Each enrolled member under the scheme is entitled to get a minimum pension of Rs. 500 after completion of 60 years of her age and all the enrolled members between the age group of 18 to 59 years are eligible to get Insurance coverage under the JBY scheme. |
Contribution Amount
Members between the age of 18 to 59 years, contribute a total of Rs 385 / – in a year.
Detailed contribution information:
- Fund of Rs 365 / – per person, one rupee per day.
- A service charge of Rs 20 / – per person
This contribution amount is divided into two parts for pension and insurance. Out of the contribution of Rs. 365 / -, Rs. 75 / – is given as JBY premium and the remaining Rs. 290 / – is added to the pension fund. The government also contributes Rs 365 / – per person per year to the scheme.

Objectives of YSR Abhaya Hastham Telangana 2022
| SCHEME OBJECTIVE |
| The pension scheme envisages providing income security to the SHG women who are 60 years and above. It envisages that a member would contribute Re.1/- per day per member and Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) would also contribute Re.1/- per day per contributing member and GoAP would ensure a minimum pension of Rs.500/- per month to every SHG member aged above 60 years.The main purpose of this scheme is to provide scholarships to the children of women who are studying in the family before the age of 60. In case of a tragic incident like death, a certain amount of insurance is provided to the family. |
